This is Kubota from Adan Staff.<\/p>\n

It's been a while, but I went to the world's largest Gem Show in Tucson, U.S.A. to stock up, and I'd like to tell you how it went (^^).<\/p>\n

Tucson...... was a place I had never heard of before this job, but it is a very laid-back city located on the border with Mexico, with a university and a mild climate that makes it a winter retreat.<\/p>\n

We visited Gem Show at the beginning of February, and although it was winter, the weather was hot even in a half-sleeved shirt during the daytime.<\/p>\n

But the mornings and evenings are so cold that you need a down coat...! So this is what a desert climate is all about.<\/p>\n

Now, speaking of Tucson, here it is!<\/p>\n

\"\u30c4\u30fc\u30bd\u30f3\u306e\u30b5\u30dc\u30c6\u30f3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Cacti so huge that they look like our cobbler are gnawing all over the place...!<\/p>\n

I have never seen such a large cactus before!<\/p>\n

\"GJX\"<\/a><\/p>\n

While I was being amazed by the cacti, I arrived at another huge tent building, which was one of the main venues of the Gem Show.GJX, inside, is a veritable treasure hunt with exhibitors from Brazil and other foreign countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\u4ed5\u5165\u308c\u30c4\u30fc\u30bd\u30f3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We are in the process of selecting watermellon tourmaline, a popular collection, from a large number of pieces, and we make our selections based on color flaws and other factors.<\/p>\n

We also purchased various loose pieces for the Camellia series at this venue.<\/p>\n

Large morganite and,<\/p>\n

\"\u30e2\u30eb\u30ac\u30ca\u30a4\u30c8\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Zircon with wonderful illumination,<\/p>\n

We also purchased many other beautiful tourmalines and aquamarines.<\/p>\n

They are very beautiful as they are, but these loose pieces will be recut after they are brought back to Japan...!<\/p>\n

The ct number of loose stones is smaller, but the brilliance is doubled, and the camelia cut makes you want to look at it forever.<\/p>\n

The recut was successfully completed, and we are now working on rings and pendants, so stay tuned!<\/p>\n

There is another main venue for the Tucson Gem Show, the AGTA, which is a convention center across from the GJX, a huge tent that is a treasure hunt, where American exhibitors gather.<\/p>\n

It is too big to show only a part of the venue, but the entire venue, which is as big as the Big Sight in Japan, is filled with jewels.<\/p>\n

There were many attractive loose pieces of artwork at this venue, including loose pieces from famous American cutters.<\/p>\n

We purchased a beautiful cut loose watermellon tourmaline and a one-of-a-kind powerful loose watermellon tourmaline, which we will unveil when they are made into jewelry.<\/p>\n

The venue was huge, and we had two and a half days to stock up in the limited time available due to the bullet schedule, but I would like to introduce some of our soul food that energized us.<\/p>\n

Dooooo! And, yes. Steak!<\/p>\n

T-bone steak at Pinacle cowboy steakhouse, a cowboy restaurant typical of the American West.<\/p>\n
