This is Kubota from Adan Staff.<\/p>\n

The weather has suddenly turned autumnal.<\/p>\n

It's autumn, the season of appetite and the season of art, so I resumed the renovation of a diamond ring, which had been in progress at a leisurely pace (^^).<\/p>\n

The broken arm had been rebuilt and was on the verge of being brazed (welded).<\/p>\n

Today we start with a story about diamond selection.<\/p>\n

The \"4Cs\" you will surely hear when looking for a diamond ring<\/p>\n

Carat Carat<\/p>\n

Color Color<\/p>\n

Clarity Clarity (inclusions)<\/p>\n

Cut Cut<\/p>\n

The value of a diamond varies according to these four grades.<\/p>\n

At Adan, we place particular emphasis on \"cutting.<\/p>\n

Since this ring is very important to me, I also chose a 3EX H&C ring with a good cut grade.<\/p>\n

A good cut is like maximizing the brilliance of the diamond,<\/p>\n

Symmetry\" is also emphasized in order to achieve ideal proportions.<\/p>\n

A beautifully cut diamond can be seen with a special loupe...<\/p>\n

\"H&C\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The H&C, or heart and cupid, pattern can be seen in the reflections of the cut surface!<\/p>\n

Above is the face of Cupid's arrow.<\/p>\n

\"HC\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And on the reverse side are eight hearts...!<\/p>\n

The back side cannot be seen after it is turned into a ring, so it is a rare sight that can only be seen before processing.<\/p>\n

Once you have been soothed by the beautiful loose pieces, you can resume processing the ring.<\/p>\n

Brazing is performed to weld the ring's stone seat and arm.<\/p>\n

White gold, which has a slightly lower melting point than the ring's matrix, called a low agent, is poured into the gaps to join them.<\/p>\n

I was so focused on it that I forgot to take a picture,<\/p>\n

\"\u30ea\u30f3\u30b0\u30ea\u30e1\u30a4\u30af\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It was attached safely!<\/p>\n

The plating that was probably originally on the stone seat discolored due to heating, making it difficult to finish, but we managed to make it shiny!<\/p>\n

Whew, I was nervous.<\/p>\n

Clasp the stone and you are done!<\/p>\n
