Croatia, which I visited on vacation.<\/p>\n

We have posted several travelogues. (Click here to read the previous post.<\/a>)<\/p>\n

This is the eighth installment of the series,<\/p>\n

Day trip to the lavender island of Hvar<\/h2>\n

The following is a report on the<\/p>\n

\n

 <\/p>\n

Second day in the port city of Split.<\/p>\n

I took a day trip to Hvar Island, about an hour by ferry.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When we reached the harbor, I was impressed...<\/p>\n

The sea is so beautiful!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And mellow island time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The transparency is so high that if there were no wave movement, it would appear as if it were floating.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While taking a stroll,<\/p>\n

The next goal was the fortress, which can be seen in the far distance in the center of the photo.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It seems very far away in the picture,<\/p>\n

Climb the stairs with a view of the city,<\/p>\n

It is located at the top of a hilly walkway that winds its way up to a park.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Take a break on the bench in front of the fortress,<\/p>\n

Further up.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Was it used in the past because of the remnants of a fortress? The cannon remained in place.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All roofs are a beautiful orange color.<\/p>\n

It is similar to Dubrovnik, but the view from the fortress was absolutely lovely.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I wish I could have visited those little islands in the back...<\/p>\n

Believe me, I'll be back someday.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This time, we will be relaxing on a beach on the island.<\/p>\n

The transparency is lovely, though,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The luxury of using such a beautiful space for free... (although some places charge a fee)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It was a very enjoyable day trip to the island.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
