I am Kubota, an Adan staff member.<\/p>\n

I went to the Gem Show in Tucson, Arizona last month to make a purchase.<\/p>\n

Speaking of Tucson, the giant cactus was again proudly sitting in front of the venue this year.<\/p>\n

How many meters will it grow?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

During this time of the year when the Gem Show is held, many pop-up venues using tents and hotel rooms are created around town,<\/p>\n

The largest and most prominent of these is the GJX tent.<\/p>\n

Many exhibitors are from outside the U.S., with loose pieces coming from Central and South America and around the world.<\/p>\n

The beautiful loose pieces are lined up in a narrow space.<\/p>\n

The sparkling gems and intense lighting are so powerful that even if you close your eyes, afterimages seem to remain.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it is difficult to see the color under the lighting, so I have a special technique for this,<\/p>\n

Outside.<\/p>\n

What a surprise, many booths let you take the entire tray out of the venue.<\/p>\n

There were a few people outside the venue who were similarly looking closely at the loose in natural light.<\/p>\n

People sitting next to each other often start conversations like \"What do you think of this?\" often starts a conversation between people sitting next to each other.<\/p>\n

Here are a few of the loose pieces we purchased this time.<\/p>\n

This is a smooth tourmaline.<\/p>\n

When the cabochon side is up, the loose is attractive with a luminous and sparkling shine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is dumorchelite quartz.<\/p>\n

The slight bluish color is cool and the crystals trapped in the quartz look like snow globes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is a smoky gray diamond.<\/p>\n

I found a large, good quality piece and look forward to tailoring it into jewelry.<\/p>\n

We have purchased a variety of other loose pieces and will be working hard to create new pieces.<\/p>\n
