  • How do I take care of and clean gemstones?
Gemstones can be grouped into precious and semi-precious stones. Precious stones—Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald etc. Except for Emerald, these precious stones can be cleaned with domestic mechanical cleaner. However, we recommend you to send your gemstone for professional cleaning to ensure that a suitable method is applied. Semi-precious stones—Amethyst, Topaz, Citrine, Aquamarine etc. Cleaning semi-precious stones with either a microfiber polishing cloth, a damp towel, or with warm soapy water and a soft brush is sufficient. Before cleaning, always check if your gemstone has been treated. Treated gemstones may react unfavorably to cleaning.
  • How do I take care of and clean delicate gemstones like Pearls and Opals?
We do not recommend cleaning Pearls and Opals with a mechanical cleaner as it may cause them to lose their sheen or damage them. Clean them with a damp cloth only when needed. Avoid spraying perfumes, fragrances, or hairspray on Pearls as they react badly to acids and alcohol. Avoid wearing them when showering as it will dull their sheen over time. Avoid storing pearl jewelry with others as Pearls are soft and scratch easily. If possible, store them in different compartments.
  • How do I take care of and clean precious metals?
While we recommend cleaning Gold and Platinum with a specially formulated solution, using mild dish soap with warm water and a soft toothbrush will suffice. Have your jewelry looked at half-yearly or annually. This is to check the condition of its stone setting (if any) and to maintain its shine.

Many white gold jewelry pieces have a layer of rhodium plating to increase its shine and luster. However, to prolong the life of the precious metal, our we do not apply rhodium plating to our white gold, hence its original shade with a hint of gray.
  • How would you describe the colors of champagne gold and lime gold?
Champagne gold is a beautiful and soft shade between white gold and yellow gold. It is one of the more popular metals for wedding jewelry. Lime gold is yellow gold with a bluish tint. • Which is more durable, platinum or gold?"
Platinum is more durable than gold because of its higher density. Nonetheless, platinum is considered a soft metal on the Mohs Hardness Scale; this means that harder materials (those of a higher hardness indication number than platinum) on the Mohs Hardness Scale may scratch it. Something fascinating! When gold is scratched, the scratched bit is lost. When platinum is scratched, the scratched bit "moves" from one place on the ring to another, developing a slightly frosted finish known as a patina. This gives the jewelry a charming antique and worn look.
  • What is the difference between platinum and white gold?
Platinum has a higher melting point than white gold, and therefore more resistant to scratches. Nonetheless, both platinum and white gold rings have high durability and can last a lifetime under normal wearing conditions. ⠀ Platinum also appears brighter than pure white gold. Many white gold jewelry pieces have a layer of rhodium plating to increase its shine and luster. However, to prolong the life of the precious metal, our we do not apply rhodium plating to our white gold, hence its original shade with a hint of gray.
