We arrived safely in Tucson via Los Angeles!
There was no way I could sleep much on an evening flight, so I arrived in the U.S. around 2 a.m. Japan time (9 a.m. local time) and stayed up until nighttime to forcefully compensate for jet lag.
After checking into the hotel in the evening, I was furiously sleepy, but at the invitation of the person accompanying me, we spent the evening at a Western-inspired steak restaurant that looked like a restaurant in Disneyland.
The menu offers different types of T-bone steaks, depending on the size: Big Cowboy (L), Cowboy (M), and Cowgirl (S). The Big Cowboy is indeed bad because it is a large that Americans eat, but I can't ask for the Cowgirl because of my pride, so I went with the Cowboy.
And here's what came out.
He takes this as a kind of cowboy challenge and is prepared to be laughed at by the cowgirls if he does not finish the meal.
But not surprisingly.
The deep flavorful but light, fat-free red stake was a perfect match for the California wine, and surprisingly, it went down a treat and was a complete winner!
Even my stomach, which had rapidly lost its ability to digest fats and oils since I passed the age of 30, was not so upset. After returning to the hotel, I drank beer for about two hours and went to bed, hoping to catch my breath to counteract jet lag.
On the first day of procurement, I woke up in excellent condition!
Now, it's time to head to Tucson for the first time and stock up!
